Systems around food production, staffing, and daily workflow became more consistent and reliable, which reduced friction and allowed us to operate more efficiently. Just as importantly, Rachel created a culture where communication was clear and proactive, which prevented small issues from becoming big ones. Leadership Development is one of the areas where Rachel’s impact has been most extraordinary. She has a rare ability to bring out the best in people—especially young staff who are still developing confidence and skills. Under her leadership, kitchen team members didn’t just do their jobs; they grew as communicators, problem-solvers, and teammates. We consistently saw staff leave the summer with a stronger sense of professionalism and leadership capacity, regardless of whether they planned to continue in food service or not.
